LACROSSE EQUIPMENT

Contact Email: trainwithfundamentals.com

We are experts in catering to a wide range of ability and experience levels! We want our campers to come with a full set of equipment for our game play portions of camp, but full gear is not needed for many of our skills, drills, and challenges. If you are new to the sport, don’t stress! We are happy to work with you! We also have some loaner gear available upon request! Below is the list of equipment needed for regulation game play:

Boys: Stick, Helmet, Gloves, Elbow Pads, Shoulder Pads, Sneakers, Cleats.

Girls: Stick, Googles, Mouth Piece, Sneakers, Cleats.

Note: Our K-2 beginner boys and girls can defiantly get by with just a stick if needed, and cleats are only needed for older groups, and we have limited “loaner equipment” available on a first come first serve basis.

Each morning kicks off with a fun team-building activity or P.E. style game, which is always a fan favorite! Next up, campers will get a dynamic stretch followed by stick skill development. Campers then rotate through stations focusing on offensive and defensive skills (position specific for our experienced players), including dodging, shooting, defending, sliding, stick checks, and protection. The morning wraps up with game play—older campers enjoy pick-up style games, while younger groups engage in fun PE-style games like “Hungry Hungry Hippos.” Afterward, everyone heads indoors for lunch.

The afternoon mirrors the morning's structure, with fresh drills aimed at devloping individual fundamentals, small sided game play and challenges to keep it exciting for all-day participants. Each day concludes with a “Camper of the Day” recognition and dismissal at 3 PM. Snacks are provided during water breaks in both the morning and afternoon.

We do not expect any child to be running for 6 hours per day (specially our younger campers) so we have a variety of breaks built into our day ranging from lunch and snack breaks to trivia games, charades, and for the littles - even some arts and crafts! We are fortunate to have indoor access all day which helps us to beat the heat!

Speaking of heat.. Popsicles are a “must” at camp and cool the kids down! We also have a “icey” truck that visits twice per camp, and on our hotest days, you can count on some optional water activities to finish out the day!

We are so fortunate to have indoor and outdoor spaces which means we won’t need to worry about the weather! Space is limited in all camps and we will fill our camps on a first come first serve basis! Quality is our top priority, so once our camps are full, we will be unable to add any new campers. This is how we ensure your child will never come home and tell you how much they “waited in line”.
