About Us
We launched our club in Ijamsville, MD two years ago with a group of recreational players from the 2031 and 2032 classes. As a primarily 2032-aged team playing up a year, our early focus was on development rather than wins—and that focus paid off.
In our second year, we shifted our attention fully to the 2032 group, parting ways with our 2031 players. The benefits of age-appropriate competition were immediate: our player growth accelerated, and the wins began to follow. This spring, we moved up to AA and remained competitive in every game, entering the final week in playoff contention.
Our goal is to compete at the AAA level next year as we push to reach an elite standard by 8th grade.
In response to growing interest, we will open tryouts this July for boys in the 2032–2035 classes.
Club organizations have many interests, but this club’s top priority is a commitment to high-quality coaching and meaningful player development. With sufficient interest, new club teams will be formed under the guidance of veteran coach Rob Hokanson.
We practice twice a week in the fall and summer, and three times a week in the spring. All practices for the upcoming year will be held in Ijamsville, MD. Dedicated goalie coaching is provided at every session.
We prioritize local events to keep travel costs low and make participation more convenient for families. Our teams typically compete in three fall tournaments, the Greater Howard Club Lacrosse Conference in the spring, and two summer tournaments.
Historically, we’ve limited summer play to two events to help prevent burnout. While we may add a third summer tournament for the 2032 team, our primary focus remains on quality training over quantity of games. Practice is where players build skills and lacrosse IQ—games are where they put it all into action.
